I think there are only a few movies and shows that have induced a nervous breakdown in me-
1. Punch Drunk Love
2. Whiplash
3. The Show About The Show
I had to message BricTV to assure to me that this series wasn't cancelled- this show snowballs into more levels of what the fuckery which each episode.
I'm trying not to spoil here, but there's a lot of conflicts with his work, his wife, and the company that produces the damn show in the first place- not to mention a lot of strife that occurs from not only recording the people around him, but asking them to reenact certain scenes that paint them in a less than rosy light. To me, that's social suicide, but I may be inferring too much. I just assume that the chilling effect for the people around him must be huge now, not to mention the people he will work for in the future, all for the sake of art.
I liked this a lot. It's a clever idea with lots of potential to crash and burn. Luckily they've avoided that despite the rawness.
