I haven't really figured that out. Usually I just get restless and do more work. When I really need to unwind I need to get away, do something outdoors and exhaust myself to the point were all I can do is read and nap.

Sometimes I play video games. I really got into Stellaris and played for 2 weekends straight but I haven't had any desire to pick it up again. Im too old to play competitive games competitively but I can still occasional have fun playing rocket League.

Stellaris also sucked me in, but I've yet to escape it. Something about 4X games really get me.

I can't get into the Midgame. I must have played early to mid 5 times but after I vassilize a few empires I just get bored. The fallen empires are too hard and my neghbors are too easy it's kind of annoying.

Have you joined any alliances/federations? Some of my favorite things to do in the game involve waging war with multiple empires, don't know if that might breathe some life into it for you.
