E.M.D. - David Grisman Quartet
Dillalude #2 - Robert Glasper Experiment
I saw Grisman and his quartet in Bozeman MT back in 1996/7ish. It's when I realized that I dug his type of music but loathed the hippy scene.
At one point, while intently watching and appreciating the music, a hippy came up to me and said, if you're not going to dance, leave." -then he continued to spin around like an uninspired dradle.
I went on to attend the University of Montana in Missoula, a town full of hippies. I soon realized that while most hippies claim to be the most open minded people, they're the most closed off musically. Back then they listened to maybe 5 bands. Grateful Dead (and collaborators thereof), Phish, String Cheese incident and two other variable bands. -ie Rusted Root etc.
So lame.
But Grisman is great :) awesome player imo.
