And so did my Mom. :D
I FINALLY caught up on sleep last night and so there was no chance of getting in line this AM. We thought about it. I scoped twitter and instagram @ 7am to learn the line lengths. Pasadena: 80 people. Burbank: 110 people. Santa Monica : 200 people. Me: going back to sleep now.
115k pre-orders BEFORE the cars had been seen.
I watched the unveiling live. Design-wise it is an attractive vehicle. One thing is certain, -Tesla is abolutely a luxury brand and at this price point you've basically got yourself a premium luxury vehicle for peanuts. I know it's supposed to compete will th the 3-series, C-class, and A4, but out of the gate I think this is going to have more cache as well as dominate other vehicles in its class feature-wise (and of course be lacking in some other areas where there are trade-offs). Love the panoramic roof. Totally a car you'll be saying "Fuck yeah" as you cruise down the street in.
Nice! FtfyAnd so did my Mom. :D, and we both bought one for Steven Clausnitzer because he's just so rad
There's a lot of talk about Elon Musk hinting about a performance version. That matte grey with the black wheels looks like it might be it. A sub 7 second 0-60 time is already respectable. I would love to see what they're able to get with a more performance oriented car, suspension and all.
Both my mom and i have cars that are not exactly on their last legs but becoming too unreliable and expensive to maintain. randomuser and I are probably going to run my Ford Explorer until it dies, hopefully it'll survive until the model 3 is released. Luckily my mom has my dad's car and my / my brothers mint condition truck which she drives when she has to go out of town which means hers will probably survive until then. I have no idea what we'll do if my Explorer dies or the transmission goes in the next months though. Probably get a lease or buy a beater that will survive another couple years. I have no 8dea.
