I'm surprised by the old form factor, but I like smaller phones and will almost certainly order an SE in a few weeks. I watched about an hour of the presentation yesterday. I have several Apple products and while I have some complaints, in the end I'm likely to stick with them a while longer. That said, the crowd clapping for asinine things like the rose gold color seemed like the stupidest thing I've seen in a while. And "most PCs are over five years old, and we think that's a shame" is awful. Is Apple suggesting a computer shouldn't be reasonably functional for five years? I think Apple has lost its way but has found the way of established mega corporations. Boring for the consumer but not a corporate failure.
That is not going to last, because Apple charges a premium for their hardware. Jobs knew that Apple could only charge a premium if people could expect more from Apple. Unless they change their course, Apple will decline. It happened before for the same reason.Boring for the consumer but not a corporate failure.
