Dirty Bomb is still my main time sink at the moment. I just can't get enough of the fast-paced, objective based game play. Cross that with a good movement system and a variety of character abilities and you get fun times. Though the devs have made some questionable decisions and updates are quite slow. It's very much feels like a few more bad moves could kill the game. I do need to start being more mindful with this game though. It's very easy to get caught up and start tilting, and in turn rage. It's usually only multiplayer shooters that do this to me. I'm actually really ashamed to admit this, but I need to admit it somewhere: I punched my monitor yesterday and broke it. Typing that makes me embarrassed. I was always perplexed by people who told stories of breaking their own property in rage at a game, but now I'm one of them. Fortunately, it was only a cheap hand-me-down, but still it's a bit pathetic. Most people see me as a pretty chill person but when I'm alone I can get pretty mad sometimes. It's something I need to work on. Aside from that caveat, I also need to get back to The Witcher 3. I think I'm near completion and it's up there with one of the best games I've ever played.. I'm also excited to play Firewatch (I think it's out today?), X-COM 2 and The Witness. Has anyone heard anything about No Man's Sky recently? There was a lot of the publicity around that game a few months ago but it seems to have dropped off the radar. It's an intriguing game to say the least.
Nice! It really is a masterpiece. I've never been so engrossed in a game's story and world before. Skyrim had been the most successful in that beforehand. I've spent considerable time debating over which lines of dialogue to choose, which makes the timed choices ever more exhilarating. I've actually been neglecting it recently but think I'm approaching the end of the story, so I need to get back on it. Then there's the expansion(s) to explore. And it's beauty is the icing. It does hold up very well on your old GPU, you have to love CD Projekt Red. It's one of those games where I'm willing to trade off an optimal frame rate for some eye candy. I've got some mods to spice things up too. I usually flutter around 40-60fps with it looking this: It's the only game where I've said I'm not going to fast travel and actually stuck to it. Except for some occasions when you're forced too.
