Yeah, you were spot on in relating Seven Samurai to the "Every Frame a Painting" post. Kurosawa is a master of creating an intense atmosphere and a "picture is worth 1000 words" image in every frame. That said, a vast chunk of the first half of the film has very little camera movement which I think is fantastic. It focuses the viewers attention on the story and character development, and takes away that distraction.
