Hey everybody,
Do any of you stream your video from your computer to your TV? I would much rather watch from my living room than sitting at my desk but I can't seem to just populate my desktop on my tv while maintaining a wireless connection. The wireless part is the real catch, I know. Any tips would be much appreciated!
I bought a Chromecast recently but I'm not finding any use for it, really. We already use a Smart tv as both computer monitor and as a tv, so I guess I've already solved the problem it's meant to address. I suppose now it's a little easier to view videos I recorded with my phone on the tv.
Okay, I'll bite. Why do you reckon that's a problem?
Sorry. Didn't mean to be snarky. My point was that if you already have a smart TV, a Chromecast will feel decidedly supernumerary. I'll say this: I've got a half-dozen ways to get Netflix onto the projector, and the Chromecast wins. Android, iPhone, iPad, doesn't matter. Same with Plex. However, if you're used to using the remote that came with the TV, and the TV speaks Netflix natively, the TV wins.
I use a Roku and if anyone else does too, what would you suggest as far as apps/games etc? Any channels that are hidden gems?
http://store.steampowered.com/app/353380/ All modern video cards have HDMI outputs that will also carry sound. Or go with one of these.
