I pick songs that either I know the person is in to because they've shared them with Hubski, for example the Ty Segall song or I pick one that is specific to the questions/answers at hand, i.e. Tropical Island by Adam Green. Sometimes I will also pick a song that just feels right to me, like Mother Natures Son. -Plus, it's a Beatles tune and nowaypablo has specifically requested that we introduce him to our favorite Beatles tunes. -I don't just pick tunes willy-nilly, there is a lot of thought that goes in to each one in every one of these I've done. But nobody has requested any specific tunes. I suppose that would be fine though. However, I will say that doing these things is time consuming and one of the joys I get is sourcing appropriate music for it based on the above criteria. Sorry if it's not been up to snuff. Let us know when and where the NE-USA meet up is in advance and we can try to get some of us from the team there. That would be fun. I would love to do NYC.
Not complaining about the music at all! Rather wondering about hilarious behind-the-scenes struggles or "hints" about song suggestions. (I would be that person who did the latter, wouldn't I...Maybe...:) ) I think you do a great job subtly winding in other Hubski moments via the music, you said you did the beatles for Pabst and wasn't there a song on Elizabeth's from way back as well? I think that's touching. I think I was imagining a hilarious scenario where someone really wanted a song to go on their podcast and you were strongly opposed to that particular song, or something.
