Towards the end of the last century, one of my college student wrote, "I work with men, women, and truck drivers."
-I think "student" should be students -right?

Also, I think the students sentence is far more interesting. It suggests that truck drivers are somehow a class unto themselves. It's actually a provocative sentence.

Dude!!! You get $5 per typo found. That's what I give my daughter. I give her money anyway. She may as well work for it.

When my students find my typos, they only get chocolates. But note: they are good chocolates.

Not exactly, dude. It suggests that truck drivers are somehow a gender unto themselves.

Speaking of teaching, I have to give a shout-out to my finest teaching moment.

The truck drivers might not think so. :-) Have a great day!
