Hell yeah. There is a lot to be said for the power of the imagination. It has qualities no audio/visual can touch. That's why I have a fondness for tabletop RPGs. :) I almost pity kids these days. They are always given more, when sometimes less is so much more fun. Well, actually now that I think of it, there is Minecraft. I wont even touch that game. It looks like too much fun.
I rarely play RPGs anymore... Last one my kids got I couldn't recognize. It was full of movement rules and miniature placement, it was I think replacing imagination with arguable rules. Made me think the designers got into too many arguments with their DMs. So sad. I love to see my kids still dress in costumes and run around the back yard, carrying out 'cat warrior' adventures. Imagination is alive and well.
