ayy lmao
read his post on Facebook. honestly didn't think that he enjoyed making that album due to label restrictions but I guess i'm wrong. In terms of hip hop albums it's definitely not bad, but when put into context in terms of Lupe' other shit, including his 6 mixtapes, it definitely sits at the bottom imo
I think he did dislike the process, but when you put that much of yourself into any project you can't help but be fond of it to some degree, you know? He likes "Lasers", the idea, but not "Lasers", the album. Either way tho, I agree. Lupe Unchained has given him a second coming as an artist that you don't see in many artists, especially rappers (except for like, Rick Ross, who's new album is coming out on Thursday and he's almost 40, lol).
Yeah Lasers is actually a pretty good starting point for lots of people that want to get into hiphop. Conceptual, but not crazy conceptual like the Cool. Though I'd also say F&L is a good place to start if you want that sort of thing, or more Lupe.
Shit I thought the intro on Letting Go was pretty sweet, even if the verses sucked. defy you to disagree first minute of the album was the best minute of the album
