I'll be the first to have been dubious about that campaign. But it worked - the ALS Association managed, with the help of the millions of dollars raised (I didn't even know it was that much), to discover a pathway to a viable treatment/cure to the condition.
I'll most certainly think twice about the next challenge.

Yeah, I had no idea about the total amount of money raised, and had absolutely no faith in it having a notable effect. I'm pretty happy to be wrong.
