What's with all the toilet seats I wonder? I was swimming in Acapulco bay once and came out of the water and there was a condom on my shoulder. -It was nasty. I've also seen diapers in the water before which is also gross. Something needs to be done about all the bottled water we use. There should just be refill stations or something.

Refill stations? Like a faucet? When I was in Ghana, the street vendors there were selling plastic bags of cool water. Imagine something like a zip-lock bag. You would bite off a corner and drink it like that. The streets were absolutely littered with those bags. People would just throw them wherever and that has kind of become the culture. A running tap could do wonders for that sort of thing.

As far as objects floating in the ocean, container ships lose their cargo all the time. If there's a big storm or a faulty box, it'll just break off and go overboard. Do you know about the rubber duckies? That happened in the 90's and a lot of them are still out there. It's cool that it enabled ocean current research. It's even a little poetic. 30,000 yellow kids toys, floating in the worlds bathtub....

p.s. don't look now, but i think a mexican jizzed on your shoulder.

I saw the same baggies of water in Haiti. They must be easier to transport, or cheaper, or have some government mandate for use for their own privilege. Or all three.

Also, I don't think I ever saw a happier child than when I gave a Haitian boy one of my bottles of water. It was like a kid here in America receiving a Game Boy. Really makes you think.

I have seen the baggies of water in Peru and Mexico too, street venders use them.

-It sure does. I'm sitting here watching my daughter sit in a nice "high chair" eating organic fruits and cheese. We are extremely fortunate.
