I've been playing GTA V intensely for the past two days.
It's a lot of fun. I wish it played better on my $300 gaming PC but I get what I pays for. It's good enough.
I'm enjoying the 3 fold storyline. It's cool how it's been integrated.
I let my girlfriend play through story-mode, and hopped straight online. If you were to look at my statistics, I would feel shame. I think I've killed off around 10,000 cops. It's a great game.
It's perfectly acceptable to kill cops in a game. Especially those fucking los santos PD motherfuckers, those fuckers can EAT HOT LEAD BITCHES YEAH MUAHHAHAHAAHAHA and take a sticky bomb TO THE FACE. ahem I mean, I saw them pull over a taxi, just start shooting, murdered everyone in the cab, and then drove off. Must have been a terror suspect. It's your civic duty.
It's not the number of cops I've put down, but the number of hours I've spent doing it that makes me bashful. "L-S FUCKING P-D!", or "STEP OUT OF THE VEHICLE, WE NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE CHAT.", cracks me up every time. My favorite thing to do is make the NPC's interact, and specifically, make them kill each other. I've started a little gang war between construction workers and ambulance drivers. I've chased a dude on a bike and made him pedal down the freeway into oncoming traffic. There was a guy I named "Cactus Pete" because he got stuck in a flowerbed and was resigned to running headfirst into a cactus, stumbling backwards, and running back into the cactus again. A woman stopped to watch for several minutes, but had to be on her way, as it had started raining. My buddy used to get online too, and we'd come up with all kinds of things to do, but the following stands out. One of us would get in a submarine, and the other would fly the helicopter with the grappling hook. We'd take the submarine up to the top of Mount Chilliad, and see how far down the face of the mountain we could slide it after gently detaching from the grappling hook. The sub would always explode after grating against the mountainside for a time, killing the occupant, but the submarine slide was far from over; it was simply entering the "post-mortem" phase.
My GF doesn't let me play videogames :( My last GTA was San Andreas. Enjoy it for me.
Does she have a reason for not wanting you to play video games? If you have free time and are spending your own money, there's no reason anyone else should dictate what you do in your down time. A girlfriend who "doesn't let" you play video games sounds oddly controlling.
It's not like she denies me but with our schedules there's only so little time we have free together. A game like that requires way too much attention which is better spent with her. Doesn't mean I don't miss those lonely allnighters wasting away the pixels. She doesn't mind a couple hours of Zelda every now and then though. So I've got that going for me at least :)
Ah, thanks for the clarification. I can understand tough schedules to get around, and spending time together definitely has priority to gaming.
I am actually playing though it on the One after my 360 run through. It is good enough to play it all twice. Of course, this time I wont rip through it in under 2 weeks. I have like nobody to play online with though, and I am interested in heists. They were not there the last time I played the game.
I have yet to actually play through the story of any GTA title. When I got GTA V for PC the first thing I did was mod it to hell and just started messing around in single player.
GTA V is great. I still go back to it occasionally and waste a few hours trying to find all the stunt jumps or get higher scores on missions. A solid game.
