Nope.com.

I'm sure this will change over time as we gain more users. It takes a lot of storage capacity to keep everything online forever.

We aim to do it.

Interesting. I wonder how the database is designed and whether that is something that will need to to be added once hubski hits a certain size.

The more important question is what features will Team Hubski prioritize. Old conversations becoming new again is a valued feature here.

What mechanisms are used to bring old posts to new people when someone comments on an old post?

kleinbl00  ·  3187 days ago  ·  link  ·

If someone follows you, and you share old content, it becomes one of your shares. I'm not sure how mk and forwardslash and crew weight "freshness" but it is weighted.

  (def feed-rank (p)
    (let min (minutes-since p!time)
      (+ (/ (let base (- p!score .9)
(if (> base 0) (expt base .8) base))
            (expt (/ (+ min timebase*) 60) gravity*))
         (if p!kids (com-boost p) .0)
         (/ 90 (+ (expt min 2) 420)))))
It's in that com-boost function, which is an exponential. We were just discussing boosting the boost.

...or making it user-adjustable...

mk  ·  3187 days ago  ·  link  ·

Oh damn. I like it.

kgb_operative  ·  3187 days ago  ·  link  ·

That's wild, so the site is built using a LISP derivative?

It's written in arc.
