Hey peeps,
As per this post, the new IRC channel for hubski has move to #hubski on freenode. Thanks to CashewGuy for transferring control of the channel.
To any hubski admins who wish to have access, if you register your nickname with NickServ (/msg NickServ help) and I can grant you founder access to the channel. This gives full control including the ability to ban / unban users, set the topic message, and give founder access to others (I think...).
Thank you so much for handling it. Looking forward to more drunken IRC evenings.
thundara AFAIK anyone you give founder access should be able to freely give founder access. I don't know if you need it or not, but this is a good reference that I go back to all the time when I can't remember something related to ChanServ. It's not perfect, but it's the best I've managed to find. Good referene for any admins that might not be too IRC savvy as well (mk, thenewgreen, insomniasexx, forwardslash). Hope it helps!
From personal experience, setting levels with `TEMPLATE` and `ACCESS` is the way to go. As long as there's only one or two IRC channels, that works well. If you have too many channels, you will definitely want to use a bot to centralize the settings since FreeNode still hasn't gotten their GMS system working yet ...
Hey thundara, thank you for doing this. We are all pretty consumed right now, but like I said in a previous post, I completely trust you to handle this. You know Hubski well. Thank you.
I think ##hubski would have worked, but I agree that getting #hubski is a good thing.
