I can't not fall asleep during that movie... never made it all the way through.
It's very dense for an action story and the comic is revered for its unique use of the medium more than telling a ripping yarn. If you give it to someone as their first comic you might as well give them an illustrated Finnegan's Wake. It's a comic for people who love comics. That said, I can't imagine a better film adaptation.

I actually liked the movie, just can't stay up for the whole thing ever. It isn't like I was bored or anything, just never made it through in one sitting.
