Fuck. That's news to me. I always assumed he was a reactionary.brand recognition.
Trump is going to have to pretend to be socially conservative, which he is not.
He's definitely faking it in regard to the social issues. Gay marriage/abortion etc, he essentially says, "I don't really think about it." -Which is a way of dodging it.
I was about to defend him by saying "Well, who among us really think about it." Then I actually thought about it. A lot. For two things that don't actually really affect me as an individual in any way, I've put some good thought into both over the past decade. So then I thought about him not thinking about it. I thought, "Well, if he really has thought about it and is dodging the question, then what does that say about his ability to judge even weightier issues? On the other hand, what if by some slim chance he's being 100% honest about not really thinking about the issues. Does he really think he has the chops to be among the top world leaders? I think if he thinks he does, that's kind of scary." One way or another, there's a lot of thinking going on here. Or not much at all . . .
I can appreciate that he thinks there are more important things to debate. Still, what I don't applaud is anyone that compromises their integrity by towing a party line. Be yourself. If Romney had been the candidate that won the governorship of MA, imo he would be president right now.
I don't know much about politics to be honest with you. All I know is people say the difference between the national stage and the state stage is like the difference between the state stage and the county stage by factor of some random yet impressive number.
