The launch trash into the sun one got a chuckle out of me. I don't know that I would say "Musk" level though, more like Matt Groening.
That's the one that stood out to me too. Maybe because on some level I was like, "yeah... why don't we do that?"
Probably would be ok for the most part, but then there would be radioactive trash like prius batteries that would cause awesome/hilarious/interesting things to happen. Also, I think it's the one that sticks out as the least "Musk-like" of the first 10 or so.
We'll have like "sun spots" and "prius-battery spots" and the really intense astronomy buffs will even track and follow the "dog shit spots".
Prius spots would be unfortunate, a flux of radioactive instability on the scale of the sun would be disastrous/tragic. Awesome that you would get to watch the galaxy be destroyed 8 min after it happened.
Do you think we'd be able to move enough mass/energy around to actually mess with anything the sun does? Most stuff would be vaporized well before it got anywhere near the actual 'surface' of the sun.Probably would be ok for the most part, but then there would be radioactive trash like prius batteries that would cause awesome/hilarious/interesting things to happen.
That's a great question. Do we have enough toxic/radioactive garbage to create a catastrophe by launching it into the sun?
Or something cost effective that could launch that much garbage into space lol.
I think the technology is out there for sure, but basically some scientist would have to build a trash barge rocket made of trash metal. If you're question is whether we could do it all at once, probably not. We are a wasteful people.
