Windows is transforming into it's pre-90's, pre-monopoly form. Releasing office on other devices, teaming up with HP for the amazing stream tablets, full windows for a hundred dollars. Holding control of the device that has the largest number of apps and capabilities, and turning that into a viable tablet OS, and a viable desktop one, at the same time. The all in ones, the surface, it's really looking amazing, and the spartain browser is throwing out all backwards compatibility with IE, which means it's going to be a new, lean, and default installed competitor to google chrome. The government board that was installed to keep MS in check was removed recently. I honestly don't think this explosion of backstabbing and really taking advantage of Microsoft's position is a coincidence. I used to be the guy who said IE was amazing and better than all other browsers, because I just really loved microsoft for some reason. It's starting to look like that old viewpoint may be coming back.
