I've got my book, Complexity! Thanks a lot. The least I could do in return is photograph it in an overtly dramatic fashion, right?
Does anyone else have it yet?
Finally! They warned me they are going to take ages to reach the US. Veen has the advantage of living in Europistan (we have always been at war with Europistan) so receives his book first. He may even have read it and sent it on to the next person before the rest of you get your books. Anyone want to put together an online Literary Thing tracker?
I live in the states, so I guess I won't be getting my book for a while, but I thought I should address this. I don't know when I'll be able to read my book- it might not be until the end of the semester. I decided to add another minor to my degree at the last minute (may as well milk the school for all the accreditation I can, right?), and my workload this semester is intense. What should I do about this? Pass it on to another reader, or get to it when I have the chance?
You may not pass on your book until you have read it. Reading it should not feel like duty but rather pleasure. By reading it you become interwoven in a web of mutually self-directed pleasure seekers intent on sharing a fictional experience with each other. We will wait for you. You are welcome.
