Yep, sounds about right. My stomach thinks the aim of digesting is to break down itself and also - something I'd almost forgotten - when i was a kid I was nauseous all the time. They did investigate but just found that my stomach was inflamed... Also, really fascinating stuff since I've wanted to be a microbiologist ever since my mom read me a children's book about it. That book is amazing by the way. It is snarky and from the perspective of bacteria.
