I went through most of high school without a pair of jeans. I was a goth/new wave kid.
Now jeans are pretty much the only pants I wear outside of work.

I went to college with a guy, we'll call him scrimetime, we were roommates for several years and I never saw him wear a pair of jeans. One day, years later I visited him in Boston. He hadn't changed much but he looked very different. He was wearing jeans.
