I went to college with a guy, we'll call him scrimetime, we were roommates for several years and I never saw him wear a pair of jeans. One day, years later I visited him in Boston. He hadn't changed much but he looked very different. He was wearing jeans.

Interesting read. When I was a kid we would go and visit family in mexico and when we asked if there were any gifts we could bring from the States, it was usually designer Jeans. They LOVED them. The used jeans that we casually toss aside in the US fetch a pretty penny outside our borders.
They are the perfect pant though, there's nothing like a well worn pair of jeans. Sort of like a well broken-in baseball mitt.
