EDIT: A big thank you to kleinbl00 for his suggestion which I'll incorporate into my offering. Awesome! Hey all, tomorrow night my family is scheduled to bring over a dish to our friends because they have recently had a baby. They already have a four-year-old and have on laws staying with them. Therefore, it has to be enough food to feed about 5 to 6 people.
In my experience, people tend to bring over lasagnas etc -but that seems obvious. We are considering just grabbing some really nice take-out for them, but that seems so impersonal. Any suggestions? Recipes that are simple yet delicious are appreciated.
Corn and black bean salad. Done it twice now. Mad props each time. Goes with anything. Our neighbors just had twins; their 2-year-old son is my daughter's playmate. And as my wife is going to Phoenix for the weekend I may have to do the fyur challenge with something I make for them. We'll see.
That's a good idea, and I'll tell you why. This couple comes over often for "taco night" at our house. I could make that salad as well as some other fixings and bring the tacos to them. They always seem to enjoy them, sweet dude! Thanks for the inspiration. Problem solved!
