I think of Alan Watts as a non-philosopher which is likely why I like him so much. Everything I hear from him isn't something to take seriously. It's not a joke either. It just _is_.
When I talk about philosophy with others I really don't get it it seems like sometimes philosophy is just a way for people to view the world in some superior way. This isn't to say that talking about philosophy is wrong, or bad or that I even would avoid it. But I don't understand Leveling because I don't recognize it. I don't understand Nihilism because I don't recognize its forms.
But with Watts, I can GET IT. I get that we're all just playing a game. I can roll with that. I can live with the fact that maybe I'm wrong all the time about everything, I try not to be but I'm good with it.
So what do you think hubski? Are you an armchair philosopher or maybe a real one? Do you just like paying "The game"? Do you not care?

Kind of corny but screw it. You know what I thought about when I was "debating" with myself about the price of a $200 improv class? Mr. Watt's saying: "It is absolutely stupid to do things you don't like" It's really that simple sometimes. Maybe all the time, who knows.
