From the people at Y Combinator. I'm totally gonna follow this course.
I recently read The $100 Startup. Great book if you're looking on how to start a business for very little money. Most of the book relied on the idea that a person has resources/talents that are marketable as opposed to brick-and-mortar establishments.
If you post the subsequent lectures, please feel free to shout out to me. I'm enjoying this.
Yeah, that would be the easy way. I'm looking for you to be my college counselor here and help curate my syllabus. Followed the channel, thanks! As for the video, it was great until the FB guy arrived to talk about things that anyone would intuitively already know. Notes taken: The Mission: Have one Why now? -Have a compelling answer Have a feedback loop for customers: What do you like?
What else would you pay for?
Have you recommended us?
What would help you recommend us? Thanks again.
The Market: Will it grow? 1. Idea

4. Execution
They're weekly, so I think I'll watch them and post them if they're good enough to discuss. As of this one, most of the lessons I've heard in some other way before, but it is a nice introduction to startups. To add to your notes, I found it interesting when he said that ideas need to be good but don't have to sound good: that startups can just as well be the cross between ideas that don't really sound good but in fact are really good. Also, when it comes to markets, get to know your market. It's super important to shape your goal and get it where it's needed and loved. In two weeks Paul Graham will talk about how to get ideas - I'm looking forward to that. Part of me really wants to start my own company or work on a startup, even though it seems hard as hell. I like challenges.
Not in my notes, but something that struck home: It is better to create something that is loved by a few than something that is liked by many. Part of me really wants to start my own company or work on a startup, even though it seems hard as hell. I like challenges.
-Absolutely! Projects are where it's at. Creating something for people to use, interact with etc is so fulfilling imo. Good luck veen, you're a talented mo-fo, I have no doubt you'll be successful.
