Both Chimes and this song are barely EDM, haha. Well, not so much EDM, but like EDM. Or anything by Tiesto. Or if it's painfully repetitive and you wouldn't be able to rap over the beat, it's probably EDM. If people dance to it in appropriated Native American garb, it's probably EDM.
Ew. That's progressive house to me. I thought EDM was just a general reference to most high-tempo electronic, incl. trap trip-hop etc.
I'm probably being generous too, cause there's just batshit tracks like this, and then much more mass-appealing but still trippy stuff like Flying Lotus (by the way, is that a giant rainbow nug?)-- I'm pretty sure they're both considered EDM :I whateva
