I hope you saw that NBC controversy that ended up in NBC's mea culpa and had its corespondent returned. A vey significant concept in this conflict is the fact that U.S. and Israel are official and dedicated allies. It's such a massive dynamic in all this that I think the scope of what that means isn't always taken into account. That puts the U.S. media at the same bias as Israel's media, that's a big deal.

Seems like it would be in the press's best interest to maintain a disinterested stance though, wouldn't it? Push the U.S./Israel party line too hard, you risk looking like a propaganda machine, which is kind of de-legitimizing. Whatever the reason, it's unsettling.

You're totally right, except that's not a concern for the media :D I don't mean to be such a cynic but most media companies openly declare that they're proponents of party ___ and principles ___, it's truly too easy to tailor your headline to propagate whatever it is you want.

So, you'll see a company profiting from the "fringe," let's call it idk Vice, that constantly reports Palest. child deaths and basically everything they can to grab the demographic that supports PA. As for NBC, Fox? you don't need to guess, it couldn't be more obvious, they're not even trying to hide it. They're the mainstream and they're gonna say whatever their audience wants them to say. In this case, it's whatever they can that won't offend the Israelis and pro-Israel audience by employing the grand euphemism that those perspectives are pro-U.S. That's your kicker.

Again, I'm not trying to be 'that guy' with the conspiracies, its really the simple truth. There's no profit in being neutral for the giants of media.
