Hey guys. Last week I came down with a bad case of hay fever. Just as I had gotten over it, my dad came home from Cali bringing viral bronchitis with him. Of course I catch it.
So now I'm bed ridden until I can get over this stupid cough. What are some things you guys do to stay occupied or cheer yourself up when this happens?
•If you want to stay productive, do things with your hands- write, draw, start a blog or god damn it read a good book. If you're too heavy-headed for anything intensive, freakin' learn to quilt or listen to a good podcast/music. •Netflix. Make a list of classic movies you never got a chance to see. See them. Put Samsara on that list. •Edit: Talk to your parents. Siblings too if you got 'em. Ask your parents questions, see what sorta wisdom you can dig up or at least some great stories youve never heard. If your relationship with them is iffy, strike a kind memory now while you can. If it's already good, even better! Wishin' you a speedy recovery. Also, I will forever see your username and think of the woman that said 'ain't nobody got time for that,' when she said 'I got brooonchitis!'
I guess the answer depends on which stage of my life I was in. Back in college I would have spent a week on the couch/bed and watched movies the entire time. In my mid-late twenties, things weren't too different except that I would have actually attempted to make myself feel better with some things like orange juice etc. -sickness dependent. Now, I don't have time to be sick, so if I really, really am I will go see a physician and I'll take their advice. Otherwise, mk has a secret Chinese remedy for all illnesses, yet somehow he gets sick more than any person I know. Good luck with the bronchitis kittypuppet. I used a bad case of bronchitis as the impetus to quit smoking about 12 years ago. -Some good can come of being sick.
Congrats on quitting smoking. In Armenia, 14-year-olds buy cigarettes openly sold to them at grocery stores so they can show off their maturity to girls. By 30, you can see the toxins in their veins through their drooping, pale skin. For the men in my family, it's a disease they need to get rid of, but don't feel the need to start trying. Cheers.
Totally depends. If I'm feeling bad enough not to do anything productive but not so bad that I feel nauseous, I might just take a bit too much cough syrup and listen to music while staring at my ceiling for a while. Otherwise I just eat ice cream and masturbate as much as possible so I can sleep through whatever it is that's getting me down.
