I just recently decided to dive into them further, I had a copy of I Can Feel The Heart and Nothing Turned, but picked up Fade, Summer Sun, Pain, and I Am Not Afraid recently, and they're amazing. I think I Am Not Afraid came out far ahead as their best album for me, it's crazy how much they can change up their sound over the course of one album.
I Am Not Afraid is one of my favorites. Summer Sun is my favorite, followed by ...and then nothing turned itself inside out, then I am not afraid of you and I will kick your ass. I've been meaning to delve into more of their 90s catalog but haven't had the time recently. I also have this incredible live recording of them playing with the Sun Ra Arkestra.
I still wish I could've gone in the early 90's when they toured with The Dead Milkmen, but unfortunately I wasn't 21 yet. What a show that would've been. I've been trying to get my hands on that massive set they did where people would call in covers for them to do and they would record them live. Yo La Tengo Is Murdering The Classics
