Working together with a small flexible patch you wear, like a Band-Aid, and a smartphone, Proteus wants to ring in a new era of what it calls "digital medicine" in which your body's vital signs and the medications entering your bloodstream can be tracked by computers. Software will search your body's data for patterns in real time and report that information to your doctors.

This stands out to me, because it has me wondering if the NSA or some OGA (other government agency) will see this and say to themselves "Could we use this for nefarious purpose?" Of course I don't really hold any beef with the government and their "spying" claims because I think they should be doing whatever is needed for them to keep this country safe. Maybe I'm rambling, which is entirely possible.

Once again thenewgreen thanks for the message and general start point for my first month or two here on Hubski while I figure out how everything works.

-You ought to watch our Hubski Podcast titled, Why Should and Honest Person Care About NSA Surveillance?.

You are definitely welcome regarding the welcome/tips. I think the most important thing I could convey to anyone is that Hubski is not "the next reddit." -Hubski is Hubski. Have a great night!

I think I will take a look at it in the next day or two. I was just saying thanks for the message, I've never been through a site that does that. Except XDA and they point you to a Youtube video that's as abrasive as it is interesting. You too.

I'm not so much worried about the idea of the NSA coming and using this data as I am about insurance companies wanting access to it. Right now they are doing this with cars where they want to put this "snapshot" thing into the OBD II port and that allows them to know how you drive, where you drive, what the radio is on if you're touching it, etc...that's a lot of data I don't think they should have. Now with these pill computers Blue Cross Blue Shield or Etna will have this same power where they will be able to get the data from the doctor or the pill and allow them unfettered access to my health, that's just creepy to me.
