Double Fantasy. Nobody liked it when it came out (I blame the Yoko tracks), but it grew on people and is now regarded as one of Lennon's best.

So not groundbreaking. Really, I just want to know thenewgreen's take on DF. ;)

I can forgive the yoko tracks for this song. Double Fantasy actually won the grammy for album of the year, but that's likely because John was killed 3 weeks after it's release. Prior to his death the album was trashed by critics, rightly so imo. If you just have the John tracks it's a great album but lets be honest, the Yoko tracks destroy it. It's not like there's just Yoko singing background on "Bungalo Bill", she's got her own screechy, crumby songs on Double Fantasty. That said, songs like Woman and Beautiful Boy are amazing. Hell, even this song is great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4rBsbL0M6k

What do you think bgood79? I happen to know that you're a pretty big Beatles fan too. You have Double Fantasy on vinyl?
