This series is in support of a movie that Morris is making about Rumsfeld that is going to be released soon, I believe. I'm pretty excited about it, as I'm a big fan of Errol Morris to begin with, and The Fog of War was brilliant. If this movie is anything like Fog, then I have high expectations for it. I gathered he must have been working on a film given that he spent a year with him. I really enjoyed the Fog of War as well. I introduced the film to my friend Ralph, a WWII bomber pilot that loathed McNamara. I recall that he enjoyed the film but his opinion of McNamara was unchanged. His face got red at the mention of the man. Ralph had seen war and it turned him in to a staunch pacifist. That someone with McNamara's record and bloody hands could attempt to be forgiven or that someone could see this film as their only impression of the man seemed to really upset him. You would have liked Ralph.
