I was wondering if I would buy such an app or not. Then I thought about the last few months. I was busy writing my thesis, preparing for my disputation, doing this and that... How much time did I spend talking to my family, friends, loved ones? To be honest... not much. It is scary to think about the need of a mechanical system to remind us to talk to our loved ones. But actually, it is better than what we have been doing till now. I will try to explain. In your day-to-day life, you (me at least) sometimes have a thought that goes like this: And then you forget about it and do something else and then 3 weeks have passed and you have done nothing. You have the same thought and feel bad that you didn't do it yet. If I understood this app correctly, it just hands us the tools or does the first step to something that we intended in doing anyway, which is writing a message to Lisa. I will try it out, maybe it might help. If not, I will try something else :)"Oh, how is Lisa doing? I wonder how her Psychology studies have been going... I should write her a message"
What if after reminding you to send a personal note of appreciation... it does so? I guess I don't see how that's "spam" unless the generated text is filled with ads and/or you have no control over the messages sent.
