Don't Pass Me By by: Field Music
It's hard to take a Beatles song and make it something new while paying subtle homages to the band. (you Beatles fans out there will hear them)
, and check this out.
"Don't Let Me Down" mixed in there? That's pretty awesome. Thanks.
This is my favorite Beatles cover of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2XzqL2xG9g Its only subtly different from the orig (mainly in the a capella 1st verse), but Elliott Smith's voice is so beautiful and so well harmonized that you don't miss the guitar at all.

Sounds great, Elliot Smith definitely does it justice. Reminds me of the G. Martin remix for the "Love" album.

Ok, I just had to search for more cover after this post. =D
This one especially gave me the chills. Listen to that brass section! http://youtu.be/xs9mkVMv830

This was awesome, such POWER in those vocals! And you're right that brass section kicks ass.
I was reminded of that one too. Love is great.
As for the post, do you guys hear a little of "Strawberry Fields Forever" at the beginning? One of my favorite beatles covers: Jake Shimabukuro plays While My Guitar Gently Weeps on the ukelele. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LrXlVPn0DI

What an amazing example of what a ukelele is possible of. Very cool arrangement, highlighting an amazing melody. Sometimes George's work gets lost in the amazing shuffle that is "the beatles". FYI, you may have noticed that I started a "beatles" tag, I think they deserve their own.
