Right? At first it seems like a really unpleasent voice he has, but then after some more listening, it just fits.
It's a really interesting mix of music. From the first song i'm immediately reminded of Tom Waits, in his Americana/Folk/Circus music, even with the voice alteration technique, and then it moves to some more indie rock sound, and then some folksy-rock from there, in a Bob Dylan-meets-Jack Johnson style. I really like it. Edit: Damn it just keeps getting better. Influences from some really modern folk-punk as well. This is a glorious blend of Danish folk with a real, deep-rooted understanding of Americana. I'm really impressed.
really good description there, as an amateur musician myself im really impressed by the different blend of genres, and i really like their use of upright bass and accordian. in the last couple of weeks i've found myself almost exclusively listening to their album. it just fits all moods.
Their album is on spotify but i used offliberty to download the files manually from bandcamp. Not the most elegant solution but it works.
