Hey hubski! I'm really excited to announce the launch of The Advanced Apes YouTube channel in collaboration in PBS Digital Studios. Hubski has been an important social network for me. The community here has supported me throughout my early career by sharing, discussing, and celebrating some of my early successes. Whether it was my first post for Scientific American and Huffington Post or my first attempt at launching a YouTube channel, Hubski has been there. I hope you all have gotten as much from my contributions to this site as I have gotten from your support. I hope that as I continue throughout my career I can attract more people to Hubski and improve the site in any way I can. Throughout the series (it will be a 12-epsiode series for the first season) I'll link to Hubski discussion in the YouTube description and hopefully that will contribute to building this thoughtful community.
Thanks again.
I'm very excited for you. I know you have put a tremendous amount of work and effort in to this concept and I'm looking forward to seeing the results. Thanks for always supporting Hubski and for helping us to come up with new ideas and functions for the site. You definitely have had a hand in helping Hubski become what it is and will be. When can we expect the first video to hit the channel? Also, I've "subscribed," and I'll do my best to spread the word. Good luck!
Thanks thenewgreen! The first episode should be out on Monday (and then a new episode once every two weeks for the 12 episode first season). We've got 4 videos in the can so far and I really think they are getting better with every attempt... so I'm excited to see the channel mature :)When can we expect the first video to hit the channel?
That's definitely high praise! Hope I don't disappoint :-)
Really cool, I was able to catch you when you hosted that Google Hangout and I look forward to seeing this series.
I agree :) If the opportunity presents itself (which I hope it does) then of course I would live to collaborate! I think that will depend on how well the channel is received and how fast it grows. I'd love to collaborate with them, but I think that my first collaborations will be with people on the PBSDS team.Educational channels on youtube are awesome :)
Do you plan on doing collaborations with the other educational channels?
You should write to other Youtubers like MinuteEarth or SciShow
