I once went to the broadway show Fela! a couple of years back, and really dug this guy's music and life's story. The people who performed his music there were Antibalas, who are also worth a listen if you dig afrobeat music:

Owl, you should check out Nomo, I think you'd dig them. The guy who played drums for them is a friend and played the drums on the New Green albums. Lot of Afrobeat influences. Thanks for the link, -great stuff.

They have some pretty cool beats. Thanks for the recommendation!

On a somewhat unrelated note, that one dude holding that strange contraption that makes that electronic noise... His shirt reminds me of the art of Mark Rothko:

One of my favorite artists, and I thought I ought to buy a shirt like that, when I realized that as far as Amazon and ebay goes, there actually aren't any Rothko shirts, which struck me as odd, considering how well his kinds of paintings lend themselves to shirts (in my opinion; I'd totally buy one with the image I just posted on it). They have mona lisa shirts, but no Rothko shirts. Odd.

You should create some Rothko shirts and sell them online. Perhaps you've uncovered a major emerging market?

I would wear a color field shirt.
