I was looking at the URL for my Hubski feed, which is:
http://hubski.com/feed?id=Descartes
And I noticed that if I swap my username with another Hubski user, the feed changes and includes tags/people I'm not following, so I'm assuming I can see what other user's feed look like if I just swap their IDs into the feed URL.
I don't really have anything against it, just thought it was interesting. Has this been brought up before? Is this a conscious decision in Hubski's design?
Sure, why not? I have been kicking around the idea of being able to hit "random" and have it give you a random users feed. But I like the idea of having a "random" button that gives you a random selection of posts from any time/tag on Hubski. I'd actually use that. But anyways, we do know that this exists and feel free to check other peoples feeds out. Here's mine: http://hubski.com/feed?id=thenewgreen
Oh cool. Just thought I'd ask. What's funny is that I actually used your username when I was testing it out, so I've already seen your feed haha. A random button would be cool. I never really used the one on Reddit or anything, but I know a lot of people do.
Yeah, I'd be too afraid to click random on reddit (it's not capitalized, btw). There are far too many NSFW subreddits for my taste.
Well, we're a pretty small community haha, but thenewgreen has been here way longer than I have. You and I have been here the same amount of time, and you probably have a life where you actually have things to do, whereas I sit at my computer all day and look at Hubski, Reddit and porn.
I am guilty of spending more time on reddit than Hubski at the moment, whilst trying to get the discipline to switch over :D I just don't have as much passion to contribute as you do. I happen to be a very avid philosopher and president of my school's philosophy club, but I'll be damned if I have to sit and type it all out :(
