The player walks around a fictional village collecting orbs. Every time the player collects an orb, the speed of light becomes a bit slower. Eventually time and space begin to display relativistic behavior, increasing the difficulty of collecting the next orb.
The game, developed by MIT, serves more as an intuitive demonstration of special relativity rather than a traditional, objective-based game. But it is polished, fun, and mind-blowing all the same.
Just looking at it kind of reminds me of this game. I'm about to spend the rest of my night on this.
As far as I can tell, the game is about club/drug life. Playing it is a good way to get a feel of what it is like to party all night while tripping out harder than Timothy Leary. Every game on the site is pretty rad. I'd check them out if I were you.
This is AWESOME! I'm going to download it right now. I also love that they made it open source, and this kind of thing has always interested me. I have often tried to picture what relativity would look like and this, just from the video has really helped.
