I read a post yesterday where flagamuffin and BrainBurner mentioned hubski merchandise. I thought that would be cool, so I used the topics on my feed as the basis for the following t-shirt concept (links below). The idea involves having a range of images representing popular #tags that could be selected, in addition to a range of 'themed' colours, to create a t-shirt as unique as your own feed. Completely impractical to print, but I thought it was a nice idea. This would be mine.

I would welcome feedback. Probably worth mentioning that I didn't design it to actually print any t-shirts, but would be happy to supply the original artwork if someone wants it - assuming mk is okay with that.
This is a cool idea. It really conveys the nature of the site. Like b_b said below, we decided to get a store in order, so this is very timely. I can't imagine that most shops support building a shirt by modular design components, but maybe we can do something along this theme.
You wouldn't wear a Facebook shirt. You wouldn't wear a Reddit shirt. you wouldn't wear a 4Chan shirt. Why would you wear a Hubski shirt? I don't mean to be rude, but unless you directly work as part of the Hubski team, i can't see why you would wear this.
Yeah I can understand that. I don't tend to wear t-shirts that have branding in a written form, but I do like interesting shapes and pictures. People like to express who they are through what they wear. If we didn't place value on association, we would all be walking around in unbranded H&M/Gap/Primark/[insert other sweatshop company here] clothes.
Well, I think it makes people feel part of something they care about. Tons of people wear band or sports team shirts. Wearing a Hubski shirt probably has the same feel (and I'll bet people did wear Reddit t-shirts before Reddit was the Reddit we all know and love today). Anyway, we're glad that people keep requesting them, but certainly won't feel bad if some people think it's a dumb idea.
Thanks! The timing couldn't be better. At our recent confab we kicked around the idea of having an online Hubski store for merch (at cost or maybe a couple percent above to help keep the lights on). These would make a great addition to the lineup I'm thinking of.
Nothing concrete yet. I want a hat personally, so I think we'll sell hats. So other than hats and shirts, I'm not sure. I'm going to make an appeal to the community soon to see what people might like. I would like to have it up and running as soon as I can, but I don't really know what that entails yet. thenewgreen already vetoed hubski pasties.
