Given a choice between "doing the sociopathic boss a disservice" or "putting your neck on the line in case the sociopath has suddenly become altruistic" I'll do the disservice every time.

If she is trying to improve, "I can't get a good read on your underlings because no one trusts you" is actionable enough.

Ok, so here's a major plot twist: She got shit canned over the holiday weekend. Supposedly this whole thing started because a woman who quit because of all the abuse she'd taken over the years went to HR about it, and apparently HR wasn't too happy with these interviews. Did not see that coming. goobster

WOW! Nice result for you!

And nice to know that the company and HR are listening to their staff and taking action when needed. That's pretty cool.

Ever seen this movie?

It's kinda cute? You don't have to watch it. All you need to know is that it's one boy's attempt to get through life in the middle of The Blitz, one of his biggest worries is school, and that the movie ends the exact same way as the trailer.

"It was a stray bomb! Thank you, Adolf" has, since 1987, been my personal favorite expression for kismet.

(today I learned it's a John Boorman. No wonder it's so goddamn weird.)

... and then lose your healthcare because you have to find another job.

Personally, at this point in my life, I'm more inclined to take a job if it lets me keep my current Kaiser HMO. Don't really care what the job is, anymore. I just want the good quality healthcare.
