Fuck you, I love salad bars.
Even though everything cost the same at Souplantation, you'd see people doing weird things. I saw a pair of ladies in Culver City eating matching piles of black olives. they were paying like $8.95 to eat the equivalent of a $2 can.
Fuck COVID-19.
Ah, I remember going to Souplantation in San Diego in my college days. Haven't been to one in ages though. On a side note, I always found the name kinda odd. Doesn't "plantation" have kind of a distasteful ring to it? I'm not surprised to learn they were named something else outside of socal.
I hated how when I'd go there with black friends we'd have to eat in the kitchen. How the fuck can you be a chain restaurant and have the word plantation in your name? I'd eat a 7/11 hot dog before going to a TGI Fridays, you'd have to tie me to the chair to get me to be at a Souplantation, that's edgier than most pancake syrup brands. $2 is close to a standard food cost markup for a chain, not a terrible vlaue.
