I’m under 50. I prefer Biden to Bernie. In all seriousness, are you looking at the vote counts between this and last primaries? Biden got nearly twice as many votes as Bernie in states that Bernie beat Hillary in handily. That happened again in Wisconsin last week, and they voted in a liberal state supreme court judge. Look at swing states like MN and MI 2016 vs 2020.

Why am I to believe that Bernie could win the general election when he isn’t competitive against Biden in the Dem primary?

Saying this is a repeat doesn’t make it so. The numbers do not support that theory.

Bernie got young support, but not young votes.

Yeah but you're like 49 1/2.

Seriously though. Bernie people are like Trump people insofar as they're completely impervious to facts about their candidate. Joe wasn't in my top 5 when the process began, but Bernie wasn't in my top 20. I sincerely hope that his endorsement isn't hollow in the same way that his Clinton endorsement was.

Political reality bubbles are getting smaller and the emotional barriers are getting stronger.

Barack Obama was a moderate Dem and he beat McCain and Romney, both moderate Republicans.

This is an interesting graph. Look at Gen Z. They started at 30%:

Maybe it's because everyone is getting more involved.

And the Boomer reign is finally ending:
