It was a busy weekend. The student body has been fighting against armed guards every since it was purposed. They said that somebody innocent would end up dead. PSU has no active shooter protocol but they have guys with guns, they don't have a campus wide alert system but they need armed deputies for safety. The community college wanted to arm security guards and put card locks on all external doors. The guards and the student body fought off both changes. They have an active shooter plan and a notification system. I really liked Portland Community College great teachers, nice campus vibe, real concern for the welfare of the student body. I hated PSU, it was bureaucratic, stiff and impersonal. I like the Cheerful Tortoise. It's a friendly little bar and the name is a literary nod to a bar in one of my favorite books, too bad for them.
But my Republican friends say Antifa are the violent extremists. What a crazy world where the fascists might really be the dangerous ones and the anti fascists aren't bandana wearing cucks who watch black dudes rail their girlfriends. Their imaginary girlfriends because Antifa is 100% gay. Makes me wonder if I'm Facebook friends with a bunch of idiots or if hyper-nationalist groups seeking a white ethnostate aren't really the bad guys

Looked to me like Antifa started throwing shit first but not that it matters, both sides were there to fight. My take is that the cops sent the Proud Boys down a rout where Antifa was gathered, might be a fuck up, might have been on purpose and they predictably got it on. Your average Portland cop hates both sides but they probably hate Antifa more (because they've had to deal with their shit more). Officers that I know have said that command and control at protest has been getting better lately but that it's pretty confusing when you have multiple groups and the public moving around in different areas and directions.

I guess you have some preconceptions about "effete homo's" that you should shed. Lots of people aren't readdy to play victim anymore. I've never lived anywhere that people carried knives as much as this town. I don't care how Proud a Boy you are, a few inches on steel will crimp your style. Get gay bashed once and the 2nd amendment and a CCP looks pretty good. You go far enough left and things get pretty militent.
