The deep cuts to Ford's car lineup are part of the company's goal of creating "a winning portfolio and focusing on products and markets where Ford can win," the company said.

Jesus. Well, when was the last time you saw a Ford Fusion driving around?

With the planned cuts, Ford will say farewell to the Fusion sedan, of which 43,176 have been sold so far in 2018 — and the Focus, of which Ford has sold 35,046 cars this year.

A lot of LA Lyft drivers drive new Fusions. Or new Kias. My impression is that they're using the Lyft lease program or whatever that is...

I sat in one briefly at the dealer lot, what a poorly designed car. Visibility was terrible and just made you feel tiny because you were so low to the ground but like you were driving a boat because you could’ tell where the car ended

Truth. I would argue that the sum total of Ford sedan sales to date have been fleet purchases.

I've gotten them as rental cars a few times. I'll bet Enterprise, National etc. accounted for a good chunk of those 40,000 Fusions sold so far this year. They aren't bad cars, but they have a distinct vibe of "I drive a sedan but still want my car to be an extension of my personality" that I wasn't entirely comfortable with.

Honestly the new Civic does that for me. I think it looks badass for what it is

Fair enough.

I almost quoted the same thing you did about winning because it sounds like it was written by an eighth grader who really likes Donald Trump
