Rules:
1. Photograph must be taken with your phone. 2. After effects processing must be done from you phone as well, whatever app you use, if any. 3. That's it!
Here is a link to one of the most basic photography tricks for beginners, -the rule of thirds, which I use below: http://digital-photography-school.com/rule-of-thirds
For hosting from your phone, imgur has an app for apple and android I believe. Just open and select the photo from your camera roll and it gives you a paste-able link. Nice and easy.
My girlfriend and a few of her friends recently got tattooed in a space in downtown Detroit. Here is one of a buddy going under the needle. This was taken with an iPhone 4, and processed with the iPhoto app available from their app store.

Who's in on this? Get out there and shoot this weekend!
PS, imgur compression makes you lose a bit of fidelity when you upload, so get the best focus you can if it's important to your shot.
Edit: There are no winners and losers in this contest, so no pressure! The 'contest' part is just with yourself, capturing something you feel you dig enough to post ;)
Good times.

Also, ecib thanks again for posting this. I've been snapping pictures all weekend and it's actually helped me notice things I otherwise may have missed. Very cool!

Are those birds in the sky in "Castle View"? I think I have to change my vote, that's a beautiful shot.
I'd say so, very lucky. Photography is a lot of fun. I just took a family trip and actually used our camera quite a bit instead of relying solely on my iPhone. It is so nice to look at the world through the eye of a camera as opposed to through the screen of a phone. BIG difference. Plus that sound, that click of the shutter is just awesome.

It's the Duke Chapel in the background and a statue of James Buchanan Duke -with a bird pitched atop his head. Super busy with family in town but more to come...
I'm definitely making an adventure out of this. Great idea ecib!
I would go with either of those if you have an iPhone :)
