Advertising the latest gadget in a unique and fun way is challenging for marketing teams all over Silicon Valley. But certain recurring themes have been arising, which I'm not too pleased about.

How is this anything new? Why should tech companies exist under a different set of rules from other industries? I watched the first two ads and they seem pretty effective. It's not the marketers job to tell you everything about the product, it's the consumers responsibility to dig deeper. It's the marketers job to captivate, and using your chief competitor as a target is an effective way to do this.
